Melbourne Star invites you to experience Melbourne in a whole new way.  Day or night, you'll feel on top of the world as the Star glides on its gentle arc through the sky.

Select from a single general admission ticket or Day & Night ticket (previously known as the Encore Ticket),  a dual ticket providing you with the opportunity to experience the two faces of Melbourne -  by day and by dusk/evening - conditions apply.

Families may select from three family ticket options with a special rate for additional children.

Each of the Melbourne Star's 21 spacious, air-conditioned cabins gives you an unparalleled, 360-degree view of the city.  Walk around and take in the views from all angles, while audio commentary gives you a brief introduction to the history and significance of the sights below.

Please note: Double Spin tickets cannot be scanned or taken after 5pm on each Friday in July (3, 10, 17, 24 and 31) and August (7, 14 21 and 28).

Opening Hours

Melbourne Star is open daily from 10am - 10pm with the last flight departure at 9.30pm (the gates close at 9.25pm and ticket purchases for the final flight of the evening must be made by 9.15pm). 

Melbourne Star Observation Wheel will open from 1pm on Christmas Day (December 25) and Anzac Day (April 25).

General Admission tickets are valid for one year from the date of purchase.  

A Day and Night Flight (previously known as the Encore Ticket) is a combination ticket providing you with the opportunity to experience the two faces of Melbourne -  by day and by dusk/evening.  Once your first Day & Night flight is redeemed, your second flight must be taken within 30 days, or prior to the ticket expiry date if less than 30 days, of your first flight being redeemed. Conditions Apply. 

Concession and Seniors Cardholders may be asked to provide Government issued identification at the time of flight.

Education & School Group rates are available for Primary, Secondary, Tertiary and School Holiday Camp programmes. For more information on these group rates, please contact Melbourne Star's Public Programmes Manager.

If you would prefer to pre-purchase your tickets by telephone, this can be done by contacting us on (03) 8688 9688 and pressing 5 to speak with a member of our Guest Relations Team.  An express post charge of $5.75 applies for all telephone sales.

Group and Companion Card tickets must be purchased directly at the Melbourne Star Ticket Office and cannot be purchased online.
